Name: Aurore "Rory" Letitia Alexandra Grosvenor-Hamilton
Age: 18
Nationality: British (Born and grew up in London, but mother's family is Scottish)
Biography: Aurora is the youngest biological daughter of the Duchess of Westminster, Evelyn Grosvenor (nee. Douglas-Hamilton), and an unidentified Agent she coupled with in Russia, when on a diplomatic mission there with her husband to parley on the Russians involvement in the portal fiasco. When he husband was off smoking cigars and playing cards, Evelyn went to the bar, and was approached by an Agent there. She never disclosed what happened or the reason, the why's, the only thing she ever disclosed to her daughter, was that her father was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen, but after that one day, she had never seen him again.
Upon returning to England and finding out she was pregnant, Richard James Grosvenor, Evelyn's husband, was overjoyed. They had two sons already, but they wanted more, especially a little girl, so when scans confirmed Evelyn was carrying a girl, they were both ecstatic. The Duke of Westminster always wanted a daughter to spoil. Preparations were made, for the parties to be had when the girl was born, no expense spared as the richest couple in the United Kingdom wanted extravagance for their bundle of joy.
It was when the pregnancy got to its third term that things started to go wrong, odd things were happening around the mother. People would be sometimes be stricken blind around the woman, colours they knew would change to completely different ones, whole rooms would seem to go dark, even with the lights on them, one time, the sunlight did not touch the residence of the Duke and Duchess in Belgravia, and the rest for a whole week. People were getting scared in the household, but the Duke did not peg it may be due to the pregnancy. Agents were asked if they were involved, the rare times they were in Britain, but none of them ever admitted to having any involvement.
It all stopped when the baby was born, during a long birth, that despite medical advancements and birth safety, left the mother needing a hysterectomy by the end. The odd events stopped, as well as the joy of the birth. The Party was cancelled, the celebrations put on hold. No one saw the Duke or Duchess for about a month after the birth. Rumours spread, and the couple only remerged after a servant leaked the truth. The baby was clearly not Richard's. It had been born with already with the ability to see, and it saw everything, focused on everything. It's eyes were an unnaturally bright green, and it's hair was already long, tipped with purple. It was clearly a starborn, and so the scandal started.
The Duke adopted Aurore. He was not one to blame a child for it's parents, and it was no bad thing to have a starborn in the household. He grew very attached to the baby, and treated it like his own, finding her growing talents charming and sweet. He even named her after his own mother, as she would be the closest thing he would have to a daughter. As a bastard, she could not carry the Grosvenor name alone, and also had to take on part of her mother's Maiden Name, and so Aurore Letitia Alexandra Grosvenor-Hamilton was introduced to society.
Growing up, Rory excelled at everything she tried. She could speak read and write several languages and play many instruments, by the time she was three years old, the only set back was her physical body. It had always been small and fragile for her age, but from the time she could walk, and especially from the time she could run, it was clear something was not right with her. By the time she was two she had broken twelve bones, all in accidents. When she was taking into hospital, it was discovered she had a very rare bone condition, called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which essentially meant due to a lack of collagen, she had very brittle bones, that would always easily break.
She never met her real father, but she once saw someone she assumed to be him. He was surrounded by light, standing at the bottom of the garden. She tried to tell her family a strange man was there, but no one else seemed to be able to see him. She approached; he put his hand out, to hold hers. She felt like she knew him, so touched hers to his, but in a flash he was gone, leaving her hand warm and tingly. It was that day that her source powers seemed to flare up. That was the last day the Vriskae were on earth.
The bone condition became less of a problem when her powers from the source began to show, but it was also when people started to pay more attention to her. She was enrolled in private classes, which tried to assess and hone her powers, none were successful and attempts were soon stopped, but attention was never turned away. She was constantly visited by important members of parliament, Lords, Ladies, Dukes, even the King, all telling her how important she was to the country, how valuable she was, how much it needed her, how much it loved her. Soon her powers were put to work for the good of the country. She could change the weather to help the crops to grow, use her powers to put out forest fires. All of this was thankless, they did not want the populace knowing exactly who she was. It was not uncommon to find her off school, in a mandatory course, teaching her about the importance of compliance, and the will of the majority. The one giving way for the many. Little did she know it was all conditioning. Making her fiercely loyal.
Despite missing a lot of school with time isolated in the project and using her powers to help the country, she was regarded as a comparable genius. There was no area of study she was not top of the class in. She finished primary school in when she was eight, secondary school when she was 12 and had a masters at university by the time she was fifteen, studying Politics and International Relations on the advice of her adopted father. She was signed up to join a Government program for the Starborn in the United Kingdom, a project she was told, to use their abilities in the best way possible for the country. She was put into the Projects branch of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), and from the age of fifteen was trained to be an absolute soldier: Focused, on target, and unyielding. Aurore did not find it hard. The country had been good to her, cared for her, needed her. It loved her. She had always known that. She did not enjoy it… but she did not have to. It was her job; her duty. She never knew the specifics of the people she hunted down.
Some of her deeds, include the hunting down of renegade Starborn, told they were traitors. Those that refused to return were got rid of, and their bodies brought back. She was told so their families could bury them. As well as assassinations of political figure in other countries and sometimes domestic, who she was told threaten Britain.
These include the famous recapture of the Starborn, Thomas Austen, who killed five non Starborn in an attempt to flee to the european mainland. It took her about four months to find the organisation that was keeping him. It was easy. when she stood outside the building, they opened fire on her, but she used her kinetic powers to slow the bullets leaving the gun, so they merely fell out, then used her power over gravity to force everyone in the building unconscious, all in an impressively thick fog cloud keeping out the press and journalists and onlookers, so no one who was not there, or one of Rory's superiors knew what happened.
The Organisation, as well as Thomas Austen, were moved to the UK, and had not been mentioned since.
Her newest assignment sends her to America, to the city of Ambrosia, for an undisclosed purpose.
Appearance: Rory is an incredibly slight, rather pretty girl, barely five foot tall. She needs to be very careful about her diet, so as not to put undue stress on her bones. She looks nothing like either her mother or adoptive father, both of them having dark hair. Her hair is unnaturally blonde at the top, and fades to colour at the bottom. Blue is the resting colour, but when she feels extreme emotions, due to her light powers, she changes the light absorbed when she gets emotional. When she feels a negative emotion, the wavelengths it absorbs increase in frequency and her hair tips appear purple, when she is in a good mood, her hair tips go orange and sometimes even red.
