Sir Matthew Harker currently serves as British Consul, ready to protect and assist the nearby citizens of Great Britain. Despite his country's traditionally amiable relationship with Vriskae and Starborn, this particular building was leveled during the Reign by a stray blast from an Agent. Before the gates of the Embassy proper, there is monument dedicated to fallen Diplomatic Service workers and others within who were killed in the attack.

After settling into her new rooms, Aurore heads incognito to the British Consulate.
She uses her power over light waves to move through the crowds, until she gets inside the consulate, then seems to appear out of no where.
"Matthew Harker, if you please" She tells the person at reception, "I imagine he is expecting me"

"Bloody hell!!" screams the surprised receptionist, a dapper young man who no doubt wanted to serve his country but lacked the nerves for the armed forces. "I mean... who shall I tell him is here, ma'am?"

She reached up and pulled a hair from her head under the cap, "just give him this" she passed the hair over, it was a bit of a statement.
her encounter with Joan Candle had at least alerted her that discretion was key more important than usual.

"Yes, ma'am, but I'm sure his wife already has a perfectly good stylist." He left the desk to a co-worker. Two minutes later, a tall bearded gentleman with a booming voice and an obscenely expensive suit appeared. "Miss Hamilton... I am sorry your passport is having difficulties, Ambrosia is not kind to visitors. Follow me this way, please, and we'll sort it out."
He lead her to a separate, quite soundproof room out of the way. After shutting the door, "I was told to expect you yesterday. What happened?"

It did not seem obscenely expensive to Rory, though few things did.
"Had a bit of trouble with someone I met off the boat" she commented not looking pleased, " seems to be linked with the organisation who were shielding Austen." she informed the consul, "So I needed to disappear and regroup before I could come here."

"Organization. Agent Hamilton, are you aware that Ambrosia, in addition to being the world's largest community of Starborn, is as crime infested as the worst Westminster back alley? What evidence do you have this is connected to your old acquaintance?"

Ser Matthew is not doubting Rory out of disdain, but is instead being cautious and will not risk provoking an international incident without further proof.

"A woman attacked me, and our own records show someone matching her likeness is involved with them" she replied, "As you say, the place is full of criminals, I doubt everyone here is sanctioned to be. I can deal with them... in due time, without need for the government to get involved.

"Well, nothing about a woman has crossed my desk... we asked for MI6 support in dealing with a more masculine problem." He walked over to the nearby desk unlocked it to retrieve a slim file. "This is all we know of a man named John Wick. He sounds English, acts English, smells English, but he has no legal standing in any country, and is currently operating what we believe to be a human smuggling operation. He's been listed as Director of the Starcrown Heights Welcome Center, which as far as we can tell, is a single office in an abandoned building. The disappearance rates in Starcrown have skyrocketed over the past year, and the local police refuse to investigate. We sent our man to investigate. He never reported back in. That's why we asked for someone like you. I will not send another man into that... pit of Hell.."

Rory did not argue the point about candle, did kit tell him this John wick was not why she was here, but just nodded, taking the information. It would take time for to get enough information on her legitimate purpose, thus may turn up information, especially if it was a place newcomers went when the arrived. "You need to me to go in, and destroy the man. Break the trade? Has he been trafficking British nationals?"

"Almost certainly." He handed her a file marked Ewan Cromwell. "I understand you've been briefed on this individual."

"Yes, but he can wait, I will need some time, scope him out, get him when he is weakest, so I am happy to help in the mean time." Rory confirmed with a nod. "Especially if our people are in danger."

"Well, to be blunt, I don't think time is a blessing you can rely on. We spotted him speaking to a German physicist we had been trailing. We believe the physicist has ties to rogue Starborn elements. It's not unlikely all of these players, your assassin, Wick, Cromwell, the physicist, are somehow connected. Still, I won;t tell you how to do your job. Our MI6 man Alfred Stark would have briefed you if he hadn't charged in first." Sir Matthew sighed. "If you can, Miss Hamilton, try to locate him. He was godfather to my first born."

Rory didn't care. She had a job to do, getting emotional and taking his feelings into account would just make things harder.
"I had best go and see to this then, thank you for the file."
With that she left back to her accommodation, keeping her light powers on to bend light round her.
