Price called her up, letting his secretary know to take a few hours off. He is not old, but he fears stress makes him appear so. His wife and he were of the same age, and were still in love in many ways, but their ambitions had separated them over the years, aside from the vital professional connections. They were each other's best friend, even if the romantic aspect had died years earlier.
He is on the phone when Elize arrives. "yes... by the end of the week... there will be a board meeting. Mister Chronos will be there himself. Uh huh... please, practice that excuse in the mirror before you arrive. We've been looking to open up an entertainment division." He hung up. "Fucking moron."
He blushed when he remembered Mis Groeneveld was in the room. "Apologies! I have a long week ahead of me..."

"Mister Chronos is..." He felt the need to please this woman, but he wasn't sure how. He had left fidelity behind a long time ago, but talking about his boss was something he still struggled with. "He doesn't strike me as very tense. He never loses patience or confidence. The man is always certain of how things will turn out in his favor, and to be fair... Alexander Chronos always gets what he wants."

"Well..." Yoga clothes were not designed for male modesty. "I can certainly mention your program here in the building. Your services have been such a boon to company morale, and Chronos appreciates competence." He leaned forward and asked. "There's going to be a special event this week I must attend, a college seminar on multiversal ergonomics and its effects on sociopolitical climate changes of the past century. You may find it dreadfully dull, but Mister Chronos may be there. And with my wife out of town, I do need a date..."
