The son of a Okwaho father and Vriskae mother, Kiyiya has closely followed his father's tribal traditions throughout his life, ensuring that their dying culture did not die with him. Kiyiya trained with his father from a young age to learn how to fight and defend himself, knowing that the deteriorating situation of Ambrosia would leave the door open to hatred not just for the Vriskae and their descendants, but also a resurgence of age-old racism- anybody not white was probably a target. Kiyiya used this training and his natural abilities to make a living when he grew older, going on a vigilante streak to clean his city that ended with the murder of a local drug lord who had been using those killed in the fighting to smuggle product throughout the country. Kiyiya was contacted a week later with a mysterious offer; help ensure the power struggle was in the employer's favor or be exposed to the police as both criminal and starborn. Having served for three years now with the Corporation, Kiyiya is an acknowledged threat with or without his source.
Despite his mother leaving him at the age of nine, Kiyiya still has a few memories of her that he cherishes, and an old family picture he keeps hidden on him at all times. Kiyiya prefers the forms of birds and canines.
